I will be running a Demo Day for any new or interested persons wanting to learn how to play Warmachine and/or Hordes. It will be on Saturday, April 18 from Noon-5pm. We will then begin a Journeyman League (new player slow-grow) on Monday night, April 20 which will recur on Monday nights for 6 weeks. This is a great time to join the hobby/game/community as Privateer Press has recently released 35 point All-in-One army bundles. The Journeyman League maxes out at 35 points so all you need is one purchase. privateerpress.com/warmachine/gallery/starter-products/all-in-one-army-boxesprivateerpress.com/hordes/gallery/starter-products/all-in-one-army-boxesI don't know that TTS has these in stock, but please feel free to talk with Allen or Scott. Hope you'll join us for some great battles!! -David

We had a great showing for week one of the Journeyman League. It's not too late to join in. If you have any interest please stop by Monday nights.

I believe there will be players from the TTS Journeyman League meeting at TTS this afternoon for league games (not me however). For all participants in the league, please feel free to join, and for that matter, feel free to meet up with other league participants on days other than Monday (the official league night) to play league games. I have a few ground rules, however to encourage fairness to all players: 1) All games counting toward the league must take place at Texas Toy Soldier. 2) On Monday nights, league participants can count points for games played against non-league participants. 3) On days other than Mondays, only count points for games played against other league participants. 4) On days other than Mondays, do not count points for consecutive games played against the same opponent. Hopefully, for the sake of fairness, this will help prevent two players from showing up on a non-league day and just racking up points by exclusively playing against one another. Happy gaming

Quick question: Are people there on Mondays until close to closing? I'm interested in joining the league, but I cannot get out there until 7:30ish, and as I've discovered with the Kill Team campaign that can be a problem as far as getting games in...

Hey Chad. Thanks for the interest. Players are consistently at the shop until 10-11 on Mondays. I often cannot be there until after 7 as well. Next Monday (5-11) is week 4 of 6 and we'll be playing 25 point games. Even if you don't officially join the league, you can still show and play against league participants.

Final day of the Texas Toy Soldier Journeyman League is tomorrow. Because of Memorial Day the store will be open from 11am - 11pm. This is your chance to get those last minute points. Please bring in your score sheets, or if you cannot attend, please message me with your detailed point tallies. Hope to see you tomorrow.
